ENGAGEMENT & GROWTH

CHANNEL MANAGER

One grid, every channel, no double sales

Push rates, availability and restrictions to connected channels, take reservations straight onto the board, and reconcile what the agency actually remits.

SEE IT IN ACTION

Under the merchant model the guest pays the OTA gross. Vestibel books the commission as an expense, not a revenue deduction.

OVERVIEW AND BENEFITS

The channels see what you decide they see

Each channel has a contracted ceiling and its own restrictions, resolved independently of the house. Your desk is never capped by an agency’s allotment, and a stop-sell binds everybody.

Allotments per channel

Cap how many rooms an agency may sell on a date, with overbooking tolerance resolved separately.

Reservations onto the board

An inbound booking lands as a real reservation, checked against pooled availability.

Settlements reconciled

Track what the agency owes, book the commission when the money lands, and keep revenue gross.

WHY IT MATTERS

The same room, sold on two channels, costs you a guest

Manual channel updates drift within hours. The result is either an oversell you have to walk, or inventory sitting unsold because nobody pushed it out.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Distribution, end to end

What goes out, what comes in, and what the agency eventually pays you.

Rate & availability push
Publish rates, availability and restrictions per channel from one grid.
Channel allotments
Contracted ceilings per channel per date, never capping the house.
Inbound reservations
Agency bookings arrive as reservations on the rooms board.
Merchant-model prepayments
Record the agency’s gross as a deposit tagged with the booking channel.
Settlement worklist
Track open remittances and reconcile them when the transfer lands.
Commission as expense
The agency’s cut is booked as an expense at reconciliation.

Revenue stays gross, and that is deliberate

Under the merchant model the guest pays the agency the full amount and the agency remits the net weeks later. Netting the commission out of revenue would misstate both figures.

The gross is the revenue:the folio’s room charges are settled by the deposit transfer at check-in.
The commission is an expense:booked at reconciliation, when you know what actually arrived.
The net is a position:tracked on the settlement ledger, never as a payment or a cash movement.

FAQ

FAQ

No. An allotment is a contract with a named channel and caps that channel only. Your desk is exempt unless you deliberately publish a house ceiling.
It is recorded as a deposit tagged with the booking channel and tendered online, so no drawer moves. It transfers onto the stay folio at check-in like any other deposit, and the guest bill foots.
It is booked as an expense at reconciliation. Revenue stays gross, and the net the agency owes you sits on the settlement ledger as a position until the transfer lands.
Every sale path routes through the same pooled room-type availability guard, so a channel booking, a desk booking and a website request all see the same remaining inventory.
