Keeping rates in step with the agents

Allotments per channel, reservations onto your board, and settlements that reconcile without a spreadsheet.

Channel management is mostly about who is allowed to sell what. An agent gets a ceiling; the house does not inherit it.

An allotment caps a named channel and must never cap your own desk — a contract with a counterparty is not a statement about the property. Restrictions work the other way: a stop-sell binds everybody, including you.

Agent reservations land on the ordinary board with the ordinary status trail, so the desk works one screen rather than reconciling two.

The commercial side is kept honest by separating three things: the gross is the revenue and rides onto the guest bill, the commission is an expense booked at reconciliation, and the net remittance is a ledger position moving from open to reconciled — never a payment row and never a cash movement.
